Teen Vogue

I'm a little ashamed to admit that when I saw this, I wanted to be a teen vogue model for a split second: http://seesawdesigns.blogspot.com/2009/07/emma-watson-teen-vogue.html (and yes I am aware that I am no longer a teen). But really, you get to wear some amazing clothes and be surrounded by vintage/British things. Have you noticed that I've been looking at clothes lately? I made a vow back in May that I would not go clothing shopping until my family gets here. I have been very strong. But now, I think my time has come to go splurge.

I love Tara.

So Tara (my friend 05-present/my roommate 08-09) is awesome at finding cool things online. She shared this great news with me the other day: http://www.the-impossible-project.com/index.php

And today, she told me about this project called the uniform project (click here) where this girl is using one dress and wearing it different ways for 365 days in order to raise money for kids in India. I really want this girl to mass produce the dress so that I can buy one. Not to mention she's so cute and awesome for doing this.

Here are some of my favorite outfits so far:

Temple Square

Dean texted me at work saying I needed to dress nice for a surprise he had planned for me. I'm starting to get used to his surprises. The night before he went home, he took me to The Roof in Salt Lake. I've never been before and it was really nice of him to take me there. I ate so much and the view from the place was amazing. We took a bunch of pictures and got to see the sunset behind the Salt Lake City Temple.

Dean begged me not to delete this picture of me so I kept it.

This is my favorite picture of him.

USA BIRTHDAY WEEKEND

What I did 7/2 - 7/5:

1. Went to Natalie's dessert party. Baked a USA cake. It was delicious. Should have taken a picture of it. Played with sparklers and participated in an intense game of 4 square.

2. Observed hot air balloons from my apartment at 7AM. Decided that I actually wanted to go.

(This one reminded me of the house from UP)

3. Actually went to the balloon fest at 6AM!

(Dean took this one. It's my favorite!)
4. Hiked Stewart Falls. Dean and Ty decided they wanted to walk through the waterfall.

5. Ate burgers and watched National Treasures. Had some snowcones and brownies and cake. DEFINITELY took a big nap.

6. Went on campus to watch the stadium of fire fireworks. Didn't see the Jonas Brothers.

7. Played with sparklers.

8. More desserts and movie.

9. Wore red/white/blue outfit to church.

10. Played Puerto Rico with more USA desserts.

Definitely one of the best USA birthdays ever. Came close to the one from last year in NY when we made USA Crepes.

Some day...

Someday, I will have an awesome amount of disposable income and this is what I will do to my room everyday and that girl in the picture will be me.

Provo City Library

I finally fulfilled my dream of going to the Provo City Library. It is one of the most beautiful buildings in Utah. Dean and I decided we would go on a little adventure. We explored every part of the library except for rooms that were locked and doors with signs that read "EMERGENCY EXIT ONLY. ALARM WILL SOUND".

We found some old maps of Provo/Utah in the Special Collections room. Below is one of the many maps Dean had to stop me from stealing.

It was getting dark so these pictures are really blurry but this last one was taken by Dean. He did a good job getting most of the building in the picture.

If I had a dog as a pet...

If I had a dog, this is how I would go out for a walk (courtesy of ffffound):
