Mr. & Mrs. Trubschenck: Engagements

Dean & I got married in Texas but we decided to have our engagements taken in Utah before it started snowing. We found Aria, who was so fun and amazing! She took so many amazing photos that it was so hard for Dean & I to choose one! We got our pictures taken at Nielsen's Grove Park in Orem, where I've always loved to go. It is such a beautiful park so well hidden that many people often drive right past it.  That was where Dean proposed to me with a ring. (He had already asked me to marry him a few months before that). We also decided to have a luncheon there after our wedding to celebrate in Utah.

Mr. & Mrs. Trubschenck: Intoduction

So remember how I got married a little over a year ago? And I promised photos but never got to it. So to my few loyal readers, please get ready for some massive blogging to make up for the year-long wait! (Oh, and as a bonus, I'll throw in the engagement photos in there too.)

Sketchbook Project

Remember this post and how I never posted pictures of my sketchbook?

I scanned the pages in. There's something about scanned images that I like. I took my topic quite literally, and tried to only give myself 5 minutes on each page. I kind of cheated on a lot of the pages but oh well. I enjoyed doing this. I just wouldn't recommend you participating in this project, if you're planning a wedding at the same time. But click here for this year's info if you're interested.

He put a ring on it...

My friend M.C. and I threw our friend Andrea a bridal shower last weekend. When Andrea told me that she got engaged, I was so excited and happy for her. M.C., Andrea, and I go way back to 2006 when we became friends. We had lots of fun times together.

M.C. and I were both happy with how it turned out. I love collaborating with other people to make things look pretty! Oh, and I'd say we did a pretty good job with the food and decorations. I feel like these images don't do justice. I wish you could taste the cupcakes M.C. baked.

No Capes!!

I know Halloween was almost 3 months ago...oh well. I wanted to be Edna Mode from The Incredibles. So I begged Dean to be Mr. Incredible. And my awesome husband found a Mr. Incredible spandex suit online and actually bought it!!!! Now to confess, these pictures were taken way after Halloween. On the actual Halloween day, we forgot to take pictures and Dean's suit hadn't arrived. So he wore khaki pants, a button down shirt over a red t-shirt that had the Incredibles logo on it, and a black mask. I had NO idea that he had actually purchased the spandex suit until we took these pictures! I kind of wish that we had taken pictures the day of. My hair was the perfect length and my bangs were way shorter just like Edna's. But I think I would rather have Dean in his full costume.

Even though we only had 4 kids stop by to trick-or-treat, it was a really fun night for us.

Oh and did you know that Edna is half Japanese? We have a lot more in common than I thought!

Our Apartment

My mom is making some curtains for our apartment and I needed to send her some photos. And my kind friend Analisa let me use her camera so I can update my design portfolio. So I took the chance to get some photos around the apartment. (Our bedroom was too messy so no photos there!)

I got the acoustic guitar for Dean for Christmas. And yes, that is a washer and dryer in our kitchen. But we love them. And we don't complain about it because we don't have to go to a coin laundry.
